A chill is in the air, winter is just around the corner and Park City Ski Resorts will be opening soon. Park City Mountain Resort, already with snow making machines turned on, will be the first to open on November 19th, then The Canyons Resort on November 25th with Deer Valley always last (nothing wrong with that ;-)) on December 3rd. There’s has been talk of an above normal snowfall ski season with La Niña in the works for this winter, an even better reason for getting your ski passes. All three resorts offer various kinds of passes, from full season, mid-week to multi-packs of 5 or 10-day tickets and even better deals for locals.
Park City Mountain Resort has been voted #1 Family Vacation 2012 by Ski Magazine. It is 3,300 acres, spread over eight peaks and nine bowls with 114 trails, one Superpipe and three terrain parks. Park City Resort is conveniently located near downtown close to restaurants and shopping with a Town Lift right near Main Street so you can hop off the lift, get a bite to eat in town or shop for a warmer pair of gloves, then hop back on the lift to the slopes. The Canyons Resort is one of the five largest ski and snowboard resorts in the United States. It is 4,000 acres, spread across nine peaks and five bowls with 182 trails, 6 natural half pipes and one terrain park. If variety is what you desire, They Canyons won’t disappoint. Deer Valley Resort has been rated by Ski Magazine readers as the #1 ski resort in North America for the past consecutive five years. It is 2,026 acres spread across six peaks and six bowls with 100 trails. Deer Valley is where you go to get pampered – on and off the slopes. But no snowboards allowed here, sorry :-(.
