When you are not on the slopes, you can be entertained by a variety of Park City events, exhibits, festivals and more.. Below are some of the popular ongoing events and entertainment venues. Park City Museum: Newly renovated and expanded. Highly recommended for both adults and kids. Special events, exhibits, historic walking tours, museum guided tours and more. Park City Film Series: Independent film screenings provided by the The Park City Film Council, a non-profit organization. Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening films are shown in the Jim Santy Auditorium in the Park City Library building located at 1255 Park Avenue (additional parking across the street at the skateboard park). 435-615-8291. http://www.parkcityfilmseries.com/
Egyptian Theatre Company: The theatre company hosts a variety of musical acts, special events, comedy shows and more. It’s one of the main venues that exhibits films during the Sundance Film Festival. 328 Main Street 435-649-9371. http://www.egyptiantheatrecompany.org/
Kimball Art Center: Non-profit community art center and community school featuring works by Utah artists along with traveling exhibitions in three galleries. Hours of operation are 10am-5pm M-Th, 10am-7pm Fri, 12pm-7pm Sat, 12pm-5pm Sun. Free admission for most exhibits. Park City Performing Arts Foundation/Eccles Center: A non-profit organization dedicated to presenting quality and erse performances to the community and visitors. Park City Gallery Stroll: On the last Friday of each month, take part in the FREE self-guided Gallery Stroll, a wonderful evening of art and light refreshments with friends on Main Street. A unique showcase of artists, exhibitions and art events. http://www.parkcitygalleryassociation.com/
Sundance Film Festival: And of course, how could we not mention the infamous annual Sundance Film Festival. Takes place every January in Park City. There’s lots of activities and events planned in addition to films premiers. Check out the website for all the details.
