Midway Utah Restaurant Review: Cafe Galleria

Cafe Galleria in Midway, Utah has been around since 2008, but we have never been so decided to give it a try after spending some time at the Wasatch County Fair.  The restaurant is located right on Main Street in a quaint looking house with an outdoor patio area. Since it was such a pleasant late afternoon and they had live music outside, we decided to eat on the patio.

Be Sure to Try a Pizza!

Comfortable outdoor seating during the summer with stage and live music.

Cafe Galleria is known for their wood fired pizzas, but they also have various Italian dishes as well as offering breakfast sandwiches in the morning. I should have taken a picture of the menu to tell you more of what they offer because I see they do not have their menu yet posted on their website. I didn’t look very closely at the menu because I knew I just wanted pizza. My friend and I both ordered personal size pizzas with one topping ($8.95). They have lots of toppings to choose from or you can order one of their specialty pizzas or a classic Margherita Pizza with marinara sauce, mozzarella and fresh basil.

I chose roasted eggplant as my pizza topping and my friend chose roasted onions. Even though they were personal size, they were plenty big and we both ended up taking several slices home. They also have wine and beer available. My friend ordered a 1st Amendment Lager ($4).

Personal size pizzas are plenty big.

Our server, Juanito, was very nice and we didn’t have to wait very long for our food. We both enjoyed our pizzas which were served hot with a nice crispy yet chewy crust, tasty sauce and plenty of cheese. The only criticism is I wished there was more eggplant on mine. They were sliced very thin and kind of sparsely placed on the pizza. My friend had a good balance of roasted onions on his pizza which were delightfully caramelized and sweet.

They also had desserts like ice cream and homemade cheesecake, but we were already plenty full from the pizza, so we passed. It seems like Cafe Galleria is a popular place because there were plenty of people during dinner and more were coming as we left. We definitely would try them again, but next time leave room for dessert :-). So if your visiting the Heber Valley or even staying in Park City, take the quick drive over to Midway and stop in for some delicious pizza!
