Park City Resort's
Eagle Superpipe is one of thebiggest in world, with towering 22-foot walls and more than 500 feet in length.
This is where are US boarders won 2 Gold medals in the during
the 2002 Winter Olympics (not to mention one silver and bronze as well).
We
went to the World Superpipe Championships Competition last year at the
Park City Resort and had a chance to see some unbelievable performances.
Seeing these guys and gals doing their thing in the pipe live vs.
TV is incomparable. Between the air they get and all the twists, turn and flips
and other sick aerial maneuvers, it's quite a sight to see in person.
I was impressed by all the
competitors giving attention to their young fans. All of them stopped to give
autographs mid competition, on their way back up the hill for their next runs.
Even this competitor (above right pic), with a bloody nose, stopped to sign.
Shaun White had to be pulled away by the competition organizers so he wouldn't
be late for his next run...
