The Park City Gallery Stroll takes place on the last Friday of every month.,
except January (when Sundance Film Festival is taking place). You start at the
center where you get a map to 25 galleries in Park City (for most, walking
distance). You start off with a beverage and some horsd'oeuvres while listening
to live music (all included). Then take your stroll, meet artists, take in the
gallery scene. You can purchase tickets in advance or just walk up to the door
at 6pm and buy them then. If you come a little earlier, at 5pm there is a "Free
Art Talk" about the art exhibits of the month. There's even a prize giveaway at
8:45pm. An inexpensive event that should be taken advantage of, especially if
you enjoy art.
Heber Valley Railroad
Station:450 South 600 West - Heber City, Utah 84032
Tickets Call: (800)888-TIXX www.hebervalleyrr.org
Taking a ride on the "Heber Creeper" is a favorite among families. It's a
historic steam passenger railroad that winds through the scenic Heber Valley and
the dramatic mountain landscape of Provo Canyon along the Provo River. They have
several different rides during the year for you to choose from (a 3 hour trip,
90 minute trip, combination with rafting, horseback riding, snow tubing at
soldier hollow, etc.). Heber City is just a short 20-minute ride from Park City
and taking a ride on the railroad is well worth it. Swiss-themed Midway is also
just a 10 minute ride from the railroad which is home to the Homestead Resort
and Wasatch State Park.

Ushering in the holiday season, this bonnie Canadian not only fiddles up a
storm, but step dances with lightning-fast footwork. Performing both
rollicking and lament-peppered Celtic music – with an occasional
roots-jazz-Latin twist or two – MacMaster has topped the Billboard charts,
earned several Junos as well as a Grammy nomination and received Canada's
highest civilian honor, the Order of Canada. As the Winnipeg Free Press put
it "No one can touch her when it comes to playing the fiddle."
