Park City Car Rental

As mentioned on the tips page, a Park City car rental isn't really necessary. During the ski season, the free public bus runs frequently at many stops throughout Park City, including the 3 ski resorts, downtown and Kimball Junction (see the Park City Map for ski resort locations). There's several taxi services available as well.

Park City car rental - enterprise

If you're visiting during the non-ski-season (late April-Early November), busses don't run as often so you may want a rental car then.

If you don't want to travel by bus or perhaps you want to journey outside of Park City during your visit, then a car rental would certainly come in handy.

Can't decide? No worries. You don't have to rent a car from the SLC Airport. There are Park City car rentals available right in town.

Park City Utah Parley's CanyonAnother reason not to get a car rental, at least not from the Salt Lake Airport (SLC), is the wintry, snowy, sometimes scary driving conditions on I-80 up Parley's Canyon.

No snow, not really a problem. But if you arrive or depart during snowfall, driving on Parley's can get your heart racing. Let a professional shuttle service that is used to the canyon get you to/from Park City. Then you could always rent a car in town.

Taking day trips is usually the common reason for people needing a car rental. So if you decide one day you want to take a trip over to neighboring Heber City, try out some of the other ski areas in the Cottonwood Canyons or the Sundance Resort, or just explore the surrounding mountains, you can rent a car for a day or two or more right from Park City.

Below are Park City Car Rentals available in town with complimentary pick-up and drop-off, and most offer vehicles with ski racks and 4WD.
