Park City Discount Lift Tickets Only $33 Full Day!

Park City Mountain Resort has a limited amount of discount lift tickets for sale every season. Their $33 “Park City Screamin’ Deal” is an unbelievable deal for a full day lift ticket up until December 10th. From December 11th-17th the tickets are priced at $46 and the remainder of the month are $73. Considering a regular full day lift ticket will be somewhere around $90 (official price has not been released yet, TBA), these discount prices are pretty sweet. Now do note that the entire resort and all 114 trails will, most likely, not be open in late November, early December. But it all depends on mother nature. Just look at the dumping we had last December 14th – a champagne powder day that you would not have been disappointed with, especially not at a discount lift ticket price!

Liftopia is not the only place to get discounted tickets, but so far we have not seen anyplace else for the $33 deal. There are other sources you can find listed at our other page, Park City Discount Lift Tickets, such as at Salt Lake and Park City ski shops or from the resorts themselves like “3 out of 7″ day deals but they are usually more in the realm of a 10-20% discount rather than a 40% discount like the Screamin’ Deal at $33 or even $46. As I write this post, there is already days that have sold out of the $33 and $46 days, with a limited number posted on others like, only “11 left” at that price. So go ahead and take a look at the days that still have tickets left and perhaps grab a ticket or two for you and a friend, family member or just treat yourself! It’s time to grab those skis and boards out of storage, get them tuned and waxed to be ready for those soon to come powder days just around the corner. Great deal for discount lift tickets at The Canyons Resort. It is called the Pair Pass and for $119 you get two lift tickets, two burgers and two beers or soft drinks. That comes out to $59.50 per person which is an awesome price even if you don’t eat the burger & beer since regular priced lift tickets at The Canyons currently cost $81.

So what’s the catch? The deal only lasts from today until February 11, 2010. You have to purchase the tickets in advance online. Both tickets must be used on the same day by two separate people – so you can’t use one ticket one day, then come back and use the second ticket another day, kapish? Also, the food vouchers have no cash value and cannot be exchanged or refunded. You can redeem your vouchers at Red Pine Lodge, Sun Lodge or Smokie’s Bar & Grill and you can substitute the burger for a slice of pizza and side salad, sweet.

This is just another way to get Park City discount lift tickets. You have to do some searching around, but they are out there if you take the time to look. I just found out about this deal today because I signed up for email alerts for such special deals with The Canyons. I do the same for Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley Ski Resort. So save some cash and take advantage of as many discount lift ticket deals as you can. I rarely pay full price for lift tickets anymore and neither should you if you can’t or don’t want to.

How do you get a free Park City lift ticket? Well if you are flying into Salt Lake International Airport via commercial airline (not in your own plane!) and arriving early enough, you can get a free lift ticket for that same day of your arrival to Deer Valley Ski Resort, The Canyons Ski Resort or Park City Mountain Resort simply by saving your boarding pass. It is called the Park City Quick Start Vacation. Here is the low down:

1) Register for your free lift ticket voucher at Park City Quick Start Offer

2) Bring the voucher, same-day boarding pass and out-of-state id to a lift ticket window at Deer Valley, The Canyons or Park City Resort

3) Get your same-day free lift ticket and enjoy the rest of the day skiing or snowboarding (except no snowboarding at Deer Valley) at the resort of your choice!

Some of the restrictions:

I think this is an offer you must take advantage of if you arrive early enough. Heck, even if you can get in only an hour or two, it’s still worth it. You can kind of get a feel of how things works, where the lifts go, slope conditions, etc. – sort of like a dress rehearsal for your paid day of skiing the next day.

Utah Residents Ski or Snowboard Lesson $25 at the Park City Mountain Resort!

If you are a Utah resident you can get a ski or snowboard lesson plus rentals and half day lift tickets from 1-4pm at the Park City Mountain Resort for only $25! This is a promotion provided by the StartNOW program. This is for all first time skiers or riders six years old and up. There are separate adult and children lessons. What is even more awesome is that they limit the group lessons to five participants or less so you get a lot of one on one instruction from the instructor.

Some details of the program:

The StartNOW Program is offered December 4, 2009 to March 28, 2010 (not available December 18-January 3 and February 13-20). Lesson availability is limited.
Your first lesson reservation must be made at least five days in advance.
Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian as a signature is required at time of check-in.
Proof of Utah residency will be required at time of check-in.
StartNOW participants should arrive at Park City Mountain Rentals, located on the lower level of the Legacy Lodge, no later than noon registration and fitting of their equipment.

This is part of an annual promotion to benefit the non-profit Youth WinterSports Alliance which helps children from and around Park City (Summit & Wasatch counties) get involved in winter sports programs. Just browsing around the net and found Liftopia which offers full day Park City discount lift tickets from December 12 through Decmeber 18th at the Park City Mountain Resort for only $38.99 which is 49% off the regular price! It is called the Park City Screamin Deal and there are a limited amount of these tickets at this price so you probably would want to purchase them sooner than later.

Liftopia Discount Lift Tickets

What is Liftopia and how come they can offer lift tickets so cheap? Well, I never heard of them until today so I looked at their “About Us” page for more info. They basically say that the resorts want you to buy lift tickets, uh yah, and they can offer these tickets so cheap because you have to pay for them in advance and there are no refunds. So they get you to spend money on a ticket that perhaps you otherwise would not have purchased. Then you are at the resort, having fun, spending more money on food, at the retail shops, lodging, etc. so Park City wins in the long run for offering this $40 discount and so do we!

Now you have to create an account at Liftopia in order to purchase the discount ski lift tickets online. No biggie and it is probably the hardest part about the whole deal. I hate giving out my email to another online store, but Liftopia says, “Liftopia will never share, rent, sell or trade your information with anyone. We are committed to protecting your privacy.” I always use a separate email account (gmail & yahoo are easy for this) for buying things online, just to make sure my main personal account does not get spammed. Anyway yes, you do have to buy the lift tickets in advance and yes there are no refunds or transfers so be sure you can ski or snowboard that day.

Park City Screamin Deal Lift Ticket Discount December 12th – 18th, 2009

When you go to this page about the Park City Screamin Deal, the page shows for one particular date, like December 12th, but there is a little picture of a calender that says, “Flexible Dates? See More Deals” – just click on the link for more deals and you can pick any date between December 12th-18th.

I have never purchased from Liftopia, but seems like an easy way to get a great discount if you know you can ski or board that day. You make your purchase online and then bring your email receipt to the resort. Like I said before, no refunds, no cancellations, no exchanges or transfers to other people. You have to bring a photo id when picking up your tickets too. They cannot offer deals like this with a lot of flexibility, otherwise why we would bother paying $80 for a lift ticket at the Park City Mountain Resort if it was easy to get it elsewhere at discount with no restrictions?

They appear to have the same deal for The Canyons Ski Resort as well, but when I clicked on the link, no dates were shown which may mean they are already sold out for The Canyons Resort or there are dates available further in the future. No discounts for Deer Valley, as I expected, but there are other deals for other Utah ski resorts like Brighton, Powder Mountain, Snowbird and Sundance . These resorts - Alta, Brian Head, Beaver Mountain, Snowbasin, Solitude and Wolf Creek are listed but it says no lift ticket deals currently available – but that may change.

They say you can buy tickets as late as the day before you go, but keep in mind there is a limited quantity of lift tickets for sale, so do not plan on $38 full day Park City lift tickets to last up until the last day you can purchase them. As I write this, the Liftopia site says there are only 16 tickets left at this price – I think it means for that one particular day, but as word gets out, they will go quick, so go now!
