Groovy Jupiter Bowl Lanes
On a hot afternoon, we decided it would be a good time to use our Groupon at the Jupiter Bowl bowling alley in Park City last week to escape the heat. We arrived around noon and were promptly taken care of by the front desk. There were only a few lanes being used and not much of a crowd at first. Our groupon for $29 included shoe rental and 2 hours of bowling for up to six people, an 18-inch New York style pizza (choice of cheese or pepperoni), a pitcher of soda and $2 in arcade tokens. Yesterday I took a snowkiting lesson from the Best Snowkite Center in Utah. Our lesson took place in an open field just outside Park City. They offer several different lesson packages which range from 2-4 hours. I got a good deal on the Snowkite Into Clinic from Groupon when they had a one-day sale for $50. Normal price is $175 or $99 midweek.
The lesson is supposed to be for 2 hours, but we actually went from 9am to almost noon thanks to our instructor, Jacob, who gave us some extra time with the kites at the end until the next group showed up for their lesson. Jacob, who has been snowkiting and kiteboarding since (more…)
Park City historic walking tours are given by the Park City Museum during the summer from June 1st through September 3rd every Monday through Friday, weather permitting. The walking tour takes place on Historic Main Street, leaving the Museum Store at 2pm. Cost is $5 per person. Tickets can be purchased from the Park City Museum Store on the day of the tour.
